Update on My Hair

Cuz' I know you haven't heard enough about it yet! I got my hair cut and I think the jury is still out for me on whether the cut was worth that much cash but I did need to get rid of some of my damaged hair so for that I am grateful.  The lady who did it did give me some great tips on how to work with my hair.  Other than that I have found that I love baking soda and vinegar instead of a no-poo shampoo.  Who knew?  So food storage for your scalp would be baking soda, vinegar, coconut oil, and aloe vera gel.  Which also have a hundred other uses so it's a good idea to have that stuff in your pantry (aloe vera gel should be stored in your fridge).  I use the baking soda/vinegar rinse (in a cup of warm water) twice a week and my scalp likes that better than the stuff from DevaCurl.  How great is that?  That is a money saver.  My guess is that in the summer (or when I am pregnant) when my scalp produces more oil I may have to do it more often but I like knowing that my shampoo is not drying out my hair anymore.  Today though, bad hair day or not, it is so windy, I'm throwing on a hat.

  2. I just rub coconut oil into my hair the night before I am going to wash it. It is great for shine, repairing split ends and detangling.
